Center Action Network's Mission Statement

Centers will become effective and powerful champions, protecting the safety net for social services, health care, and information within LGBTQ communities.

Terry Stone is the Center Action Network Director. Serving in nonprofit leadership for over 28 years, he has a strong background in grassroots organizing, along with experience in board governance, strategic planning, fundraising, organizational management, mergers, and financial management.

Lora Tucker is the CEO of CenterLink: The Community of LGBT Centers. Founded in 1994, CenterLink plays an important role in supporting the growth of LGBT centers across the country and addressing the challenges they face, by helping them to improve their organizational and service delivery capacity and increase access to public resources in support of their programs.

Denise Spivak joined CenterLink after working in the private sector for over twenty years. She has extensive experience in team management, talent acquisition and program development. Prior to joining CenterLink, Denise was a corporate executive recruiter. Her background also includes on-air and production roles in the broadcast industry and senior retail management positions with Fortune 500 companies.

Tanya Witt was born and raised in Wisconsin. She discovered her need to be of service early, and by the age of 17 began working with the Wisconsin AIDS Resource Center.  She spent the next 12 years as a volunteer HIV Test Counselor at community centers in Green Bay, Wisconsin and Nashville, Tennessee.
