Your calls are making a difference! Senator McCain announced Friday that he will oppose the latest Affordable Care Act repeal proposal called the Graham-Cassidy bill.
“I cannot in good conscience vote for this proposal. I believe we could do better working together, Republicans and Democrats, and have not yet really tried. I take no
pleasure in announcing my opposition. Far from it. The bill’s authors are my
dear friends, and I think the world of them. I know they are acting consistently
with their beliefs and sense of what is best for the country. So am I.", McCain said in a statement.
This bill is the Senate GOP’s last best chance at passing a bill dismantling the Affordable Care Act before a September 30th deadline. It's not over yet, though. Can you take a minute to contact the following two key Republican senators - even if you don't live in their states - to oppose it? Thank you for all you've done so far.

You can call after business hours or over the weekend and leave a voicemail. A sample script for your call is: "I am gravely concerned about the introduction of the Graham-Cassidy bill, which will cause millions of people to lose health care coverage and will especially affect seniors, women and under-served communities. I urge Senator [NAME] to vote NO."
