On February 13th, the Colorado Bill HB20-1114 "Protect Minors From Mutilation And Sterilization" will be heard by the House State, Veterans, & Military Affairs Committee. The language in this proposed bill threatens doctors with a felony sentence for providing life-saving care like puberty blockers to transgender youth.
Being a kid is hard enough. We don’t need politicians making it even harder for kids who are transgender; denying them best practice medical care. Will you take a minute to call or email the Chair of this committee today to tell him that you oppose this bill? Here's the contact info and a sample of what you can say.

Transgender youth are some of the most at risk in our community. Medical professionals, not politicians, should decide what medical care is in the best interest of a patient. Forcing a doctor to deny best practice medical care and deny support to transgender youth can be life-threatening. As a constituent of Colorado, I strongly opposes HB20-1114.
