Yesterday, HB513 was introduced in Ohio. The bill is one of many bills in the country aimed at prohibiting transgender youth from accessing medical care related to their gender identity. It threatens to take away vital access to medical professionals from LGBTQ youth. It would also prohibit medical care for Ohio youth experiencing gender dysphoria or seeking affirmative, supporting counseling and turn doctors who provide medical care to transgender youth into criminals.
Being a kid is hard enough. We don’t need politicians making it even harder for kids who are transgender; denying them best practice medical care. You may submit comments opposing the bill through Equality Ohio's site: Defend Transgender Children.
