1. Describe your love of pizza and how it relates to the Resistance Squad.
Joe: Resistance squad is like pizza. The ingredients are good individually, but when combined can accomplish so much more.
Danny: We always provide delicious, cheesy pizza. I am lactose intolerant - so my love for pizza is a little bittersweet, but I will enthusiastically embrace the “bubblies” every time for the chance to motivate volunteers at our Resistance Squad actions and Recruitment Call nights!
2. When you are not phonebanking, how do you spend your Sundays?
Joe: I would rather be at brunch.
Danny: I am a big fan of parks and natural locations where I can happily lay on the floor for hours. I like to spend Sundays any place where I can soak up the sunshine.
3. What is one thing you hope to get out of your time working with the Resistance Squad volunteers?
Joe: I hope to develop a stronger connection to my community!
Danny: I hope to really learn from the stories of our volunteers. We all have come from such diverse walks of life yet we have a common bond in our LGBTQ and ally identities and our need to do something to better for our community. It has led us all to the Resistance Squad. I am constantly looking forward to the stories and bonds I can build with every person who comes to volunteer with us!
